Tonic Polish ‘Peacock Parade’ manicure

Hello, I am back again with more from my current favourite brand – Tonic Polish. Now this time they have outdone themselves once again and I love this even more than ‘Dragon Tears’ and that’s saying something! Unfortunately this colour ‘Peacock Parade’ isn’t available in the U.K. I had to purchase it through a group buy so I only had one chance to snag it and I’m so glad that I did.

It is a beautiful multi chrome which shifts from dark purple through navy, teal, aqua and green but when you are in the shade it also appears rusty and bronze! It took three coats to cover fully and considering that this stuff is like gold dust I was hesitant – but it was so worth it.

It did chip slightly after a couple of days, but that wouldn’t put me off using it again and again. I’m in love!

Autumnal Holo Colours Mani

October is here, the leaves on the trees are changing colour, nights are rapidly drawing in, the clocks will soon go back and summer is now certainly a distant memory. With that in mind I wanted to use colours that have a strong Autumn vibe to them.

Here I have combined two polishes for each nail. We have:

Yellow: Potion Polish – Marvelous Maple Topped with il etait un vernis – Hello Sunshine

Purple: Leighton Denny ‘Raspberry Afair’ Topped with Tonic ‘The Answer is 42’

Blue/Green: Nails Inc ‘Gosfield Street’ Topped with ILNP ‘Interstellar’

Red: Nails Inc ‘Saville Row’ Topped with ‘New Burlington Place’

Tonic Polish Rainbowfish

In the past few months I have become aware of an indie brand called ‘Tonic Polish’ who have a range that definitely makes  a statement! There are only a few colours available in the U.K at present but they are well worth trying – they come in a 5 free formulation in a 15ml bottle in an array of never seen before colours.

Today I am focussing on ‘Rainbowfish’ – it is an aqua holo jelly, filled with silver & turquoise holographic micro glitters and dotted with a pinky purple fleck that seems to shift effortlessly to spectacularly vivid hues of both green and gold.

The formulation is so easy to apply and it covers fully in three coats to a smooth finish but is enhanced even further with top coat. I will have more from this brand in the future, so keep your eyes peeled.

My all time favourite Nail Polish

Yes I own literally hundreds of polishes but this is just so beautiful that it hands down beats everything I own.

Tonic Polish – ‘Dragon Tears’

Made with a scattered holographic multitone pigment, the colour shifts through green, blue, purple, red & peach and even looks copper at some angles and also has a spattering of tiny silver holo micro glitter to finish off the look – not too many, just the perfect amount as to not dull the colour shift. The consistency is pretty thin so it flows on nicely and three coats result in a smooth, brushstroke free finish. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m pretty sure that it would look equally stunning over black or a dark colour to create a different look.

If you haven’t come across ‘Tonic’ before I highly recommend that you check them out they have such unusual shades you will fall in love. They haven’t been around all that long – I believe that they started trading last year but it is my belief that they are definitely ones to watch!
