Canvas ‘Will’s Alive’ manicure

Today I have ‘Will’s Alive’ by Canvas lacquer, an unusual polish and a stunning colour. It reminds me of tropical blue seas, don’t you think? in fact it doesn’t look quite real – if you know what I mean. I have embellished it with tiny stars from Born Pretty Store by setting them in clear polish. I love this colour and an added bonus is that it glows in the dark! Have a great week all!

Tonic Polish ‘Peacock Parade’ manicure

Hello, I am back again with more from my current favourite brand – Tonic Polish. Now this time they have outdone themselves once again and I love this even more than ‘Dragon Tears’ and that’s saying something! Unfortunately this colour ‘Peacock Parade’ isn’t available in the U.K. I had to purchase it through a group buy so I only had one chance to snag it and I’m so glad that I did.

It is a beautiful multi chrome which shifts from dark purple through navy, teal, aqua and green but when you are in the shade it also appears rusty and bronze! It took three coats to cover fully and considering that this stuff is like gold dust I was hesitant – but it was so worth it.

It did chip slightly after a couple of days, but that wouldn’t put me off using it again and again. I’m in love!

Outed by Robot

Hello and welcome to a new week!

Today I have for you an indie polish that I know hardly anything about! I bought it second hand from a fab Facebook group called ‘Nail Sale’ quite a while ago and it doesn’t seem to have a brand name or anything, it just has a label saying ‘Outed by Robot’ which I presume is the name of the polish not the brand as I can’t find anything on google.

Anyway it is a lovely pale blue colour with scattered glitters in many sizes and different shades of blue and silver. I topped it off with two coats of top coat and this is the result. Have you heard of this polish before? If so please enlighten me!

Tonic Polish Rainbowfish

In the past few months I have become aware of an indie brand called ‘Tonic Polish’ who have a range that definitely makes  a statement! There are only a few colours available in the U.K at present but they are well worth trying – they come in a 5 free formulation in a 15ml bottle in an array of never seen before colours.

Today I am focussing on ‘Rainbowfish’ – it is an aqua holo jelly, filled with silver & turquoise holographic micro glitters and dotted with a pinky purple fleck that seems to shift effortlessly to spectacularly vivid hues of both green and gold.

The formulation is so easy to apply and it covers fully in three coats to a smooth finish but is enhanced even further with top coat. I will have more from this brand in the future, so keep your eyes peeled.

CBL Broadway Baby!

Howdy!

How beautiful is this limited edition polish ‘Broadway Baby!’ from Colours by Llarowe!?!

It is a multi chrome that shifts between royal blue, turquoise and purple.

Now my school uniform at middle school was royal blue and I hated it so much in fact that I haven’t worn that colour for years but this polish has changed my mind – with the colour shifts I found myself admiring it all of the time, I even had to be extra careful when I was driving as the colour would catch my eye when stopping at traffic lights etc and distract me – he he!

Believe me, if you love multi chrome shades, you need this in your life!

My all time favourite Nail Polish

Yes I own literally hundreds of polishes but this is just so beautiful that it hands down beats everything I own.

Tonic Polish – ‘Dragon Tears’

Made with a scattered holographic multitone pigment, the colour shifts through green, blue, purple, red & peach and even looks copper at some angles and also has a spattering of tiny silver holo micro glitter to finish off the look – not too many, just the perfect amount as to not dull the colour shift. The consistency is pretty thin so it flows on nicely and three coats result in a smooth, brushstroke free finish. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m pretty sure that it would look equally stunning over black or a dark colour to create a different look.

If you haven’t come across ‘Tonic’ before I highly recommend that you check them out they have such unusual shades you will fall in love. They haven’t been around all that long – I believe that they started trading last year but it is my belief that they are definitely ones to watch!

Emily de Molly ‘Tread Lightly’

It’s been a while since I’ve had on my nails a real textured polish packed with holo and sparkle – Well today I have for you – Emily de Molly ‘Tread Lightly‘ a beautiful sea blue/green full of  varying sized silver & purple glitter dots & pink & purple smaller hex glitters. I love the way the glitters appear differently after each layer – I used three thin coats here and the crelly formula really helps it come to life.

It required a good couple of coats of top coat to even out the surface but was a fun polish to wear although I must say, although I love it in the bottle, it didn’t really suit me when I had it on.
